#musthavesbydextaaaar Part I- Flatlays

#musthavesbydextaaaar is my attempt of showcasing the best of bombay’s food. Kindly note, the dishes classified under this hashtag are solely my choices, and of for some reason, you do not find them worthy, please do not go all apeshit on me. Let’s talk if the choice fails to entice you 🙂

Part I is on flatlays. Some home delivery reviews while some clicked at restaurants/cafes/bars etc.

Those who know me, know the fact how, if given a choice I always prefer a non vegetarian meal. #OyePappe was ordered out of risk because it is a pure veg place but the risk paid off. Plus points already. A quick lowdown on what happened The #Mushroom Bharwan Tikka is a MUST HAVE. Slightly spicy, cheesy and mushrooms rubbed with strong masalas, a clear winner all the way. The Banjara #Kofta is one thick, creamy dish I thoroughly enjoyed with the wonderful Indian breads that I called for. The #JeeraRice however was a very very average fare. Maybe the rice needed some real flavors to be retained. Was quite bland. The #Paneer Lasooni was also a decent affair. I expected tiny bits of garlic but there were full big fat pieces strewn around on the top which I frankly didn’t really like. The gravy was flavorful, the garlic influence was evident, but I expected the gravy to be better. Also, I felt the paneer a tad chewy. The #DalMakhani and plain rice was a wonderful match made in heaven. Not the best of dal makhanis but still falls into ‘worth a try’ category. The #Palak #Raita was absolutely lovely. Creamy, smooth, which had a uniform presence of palak. I would have loved a stronger spinach influence but nonetheless, still definitely worth your sidekick. Special mention to the naans. You MUST order the garlic #naan. I honestly can’t really recollect the other two but one was of palak. Please check the menu and go for it. Packaging was good, and timely delivery. Passed successfully on those pointers. Good job, Oye Pappe. Till next time, Cheers #oyepappe #indian #instalunch #pureveg #instadaily #foodphotography #flatlay #foodphoto #foodstagram #instagood #instafoodie #mumbaifoodie #qsr #santacruz #mumbai #foodbeast #foodblog #mumbaifoodblogger

I wish every day was Sunday. I wish everyday was Brunchday. 18th floor | Contrasting views of Nature vs man | An exhaustive spread which will confuse the hell outta you | A Sunday well spent I was at Seasonal tastes, @thewestinmumbai for their Sunday brunch last week and it was maaaad. Every week the menu sees new entrants and there is the special brunch cocktail. I must say, Westin is one of the finest when it comes to hospitality. Talk about making you feel special. Since Westin proclaims to integrate the wellness factor in their service, let's extend it to food, shall we? The Superfoods are worth trying. Not fascinated yet? They take the shape of desserts too! NOW? NOW? Also, if you are taking your kids along, the little one has a special Kid's section to while away his/her time. Out of everything i sampled during my visit, I loved the: – Peking Duck Roll – Tenderloin Bolognaie Lasagne – Murgh Ke Parche (Gunpowder dusted chicken) – Malwani Tawa Macchi – Chiken Tikka Sandwich – Currypatta Paneer – Braised Lamb and Raw Papaya Salad – Squid with Wild Mushroom and Sweet Pepper – Red Velvet Cake – Milk Chocolate Grand Truffle Cake – Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate Pastry – Mocha Latte Parfait – Orange Marmalade Chocolate Cake – Blueberry Baked Cheesecake Like I said the menu sees a change every week, but if at all, you spot these, fill up your plate like a refugee. You now know where to go this Sunday. Go figure! 🙌 #westinmumbai #westin #seasonaltastes #buffet #brunching #brunch #sundaybrunch #superfoods #cakes #tenderloin #fish #lamb #squid #braisedlamb #foodgasm #foodporn #photooftheday #instadaily #instafood #foodie #love #instablogger #foodblogger #instapic #food #picoftheday #instadaily #nomnomnom #sweettooth
